Great news for Ballers in Brisbane, with the announcement of an exciting new partnership between Northside Wizards Basketball and Melbourne United Star Mitch McCarron, whose new venture ‘Pinnacle Basketball Academy’ will soon be open for business.
Northside Wizards GM Cathie Roberts confirmed that the club is thrilled to be partnering with Mitch, stating “ Pinnacle Basketball Academy will take athletes to a new level, developing their fundamental skills under the guidance of top coaches with international experience. Pinnacle Coaches are experts in their field and athletes can expect a safe, high-energy and fun training environment. We highly recommend Mitch and Pinnacle to athletes of all levels, from club-level players just starting out to elite players looking for a top-shelf training program. We can’t wait to see our Wizards players progress under Pinnacle’s guidance.”
Mitch, who played his junior basketball in Brisbane, is looking forward to getting started and helping players grow their game with what is sure to be a unique and impactful approach to coaching.

Operating out of the Wizards’ new Zillmere facility will give Pinnacle the perfect place to call home, and we can’t wait to get sessions started!”
Pinnacle Basketball Academy will operate from the Northside Wizards’ recently opened 5-court stadium and performance centre, the Northside Indoor Sports Centre at Zillmere. Pinnacle programs are open to all athletes.
