NGBL Coaches & Team Managers
NGBL Teams are not complete without Coaches and Team Managers. If you are able to lend a hand, we would love for you to volunteer.
Coaches:  Duties include running a training session and coaching the game. Coaching support and development is available from NGBL Coaching Director and Northside Wizards Coaching staff. All coaches will require a current Bluecard (free of charge for volunteers) or be prepared to submit an application before the commencement of competition. Team Manager: Duties include communicating game times and other information, managing singlets for the team and organising the scoretable roster. Support is provided by NGBL Manager and Registrar. Please email [email protected] if you are able to assist.
NGBL Club Committee
An essential part of a thriving community sporting organisation are the volunteers who coordinate and communicate with their membership.  The Northside Wizards Basketball Association will seek nominations for volunteers to assist with the operational aspects of the club each year.
The primary responsibilities are coordinating player trials and placement into teams, along with the appointment of team coaches, managers and coordinating training session times. Also, ongoing communication with the club membership base regarding development programs for players, officials and volunteers.
There are a number of roles that form the club committee:
- Manager
- Registrar
- Coach Coordinator
In some cases, (subject to discussion with the association) these roles may be shared by more than one volunteer. The club volunteers work with and are supported by the association staff.
