BOYS UNDER 8s COMPETITION (Boys born 2017 – 2018)
This mini-competition is specifically for players that have completed a minimum of one term of Wizkids and who are yet to turn 8 in 2024. This is the next level to our existing Wizkids program and the transitional step between learning to play and joining into club competition. The players are placed into teams that train first, then play against an opposing Wizkids side. Children will experience real gameplay with adjusted hoops and modified rules. There are no ladders or scoreboards – just a fun environment for children to enjoy the game of basketball. This competition will be played on 8am Saturday morning at the Southpine Sport Centre, Brendale
GIRLS COMPETITION (Girls born 2014 – 2017)
This competition is to prepare the girls for the NGBL Competition. The girls will be placed into teams in a train and play format. This is a modified competition and will be refereed to modified club standards. At the end of this season the coaches and Wizards staff will be making recommendations on moving into our NGBL competition. This competition will be played on Saturday morning at the Southpine Sport Centre, Brendale
WIZKIDS GOLD BOYS COMPETITON (Open Age competition)
This mini-competition is specifically for players that have looking to progress into Northside Wizards competition club level basketball when the new season begins in term 2. This is traditionally the last step in the Wizkids program. The players are placed into teams that train first, then play against an opposing Wizkids side. Children will experience real gameplay with full size hoops and full rules. The Games will be scored. This competition will be played on 9am Saturday morning at the Southpine Sport Centre, Brendale.
