Love basketball? But over the whole running and high impact aspect of the sport? This program is for you!
Walking basketball is an opportunity for beginners, the injured and the elderly to get involved in playing! NO PREVIOUS BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE is required! Just show up, have fun and get active within a safe environment!
Term 1 Walking Basketball Sessions:
Commences February 15th
Monday and Wednesday sessions (10am-11am)
@ Northside Indoor Sports Centre, Zillmere
Concludes March 31st (7 weeks)
The sessions will consist of the following:
Participants to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to session to sign in
5 minute warm up/stretch
10-15 minutes of skill work
30 minutes of Walking Basketball games
* Morning tea provided following games *
Participants should bring the following:
Active wear (we will provided bibs for teams)
Full drink bottle
$5 for session cost
Basketball (we will have spares)
Players must register for the program through the link provided with a small processing fee and then it is 5$ per session that is attended.
