The Pilpel Northside Wizards are pleased to confirm the appointment of long-time Wizards Coach Nick Roberts to the role of Head Coach of the NBL1 North Men’s Team. Coach Roberts’ success at both Junior and Senior levels speaks for itself, having coached the Northside Wizards U18 Boys to a State Championship in 2012 and more recently, leading our QSL Men to the Grand Final in four consecutive years from 2016-2019. With 3 QSL Championships and 3 BQ Coach of the Year awards, Nick is well-placed as Head Coach of the Wizards Men for the NBL1 North inaugural season.
Northside Wizards President Brett Anderson said today “We are looking forward to bringing an exciting level of Basketball to the Northside Wizards Community. Wizards fans can expect a strong playing roster and some exciting games when the season opens in mid-May. Our move into NBL1 offers a great pathway for junior players aspiring to play at higher levels and we are happy to have a coach of Nick’s calibre leading our men’s program.”
