The junior female competition is coordinated by the Northside Girls Basketball League (NGBL).  Players are graded into teams based on their skill level, experience and their age. Training sessions are held prior to the games and supplemented by additional development programs throughout the year. The Seasons
The Competitions for Junior Bronze and Junior Silver re-start at the beginning of each school term to allow for additional players to graduate from our beginner programs and join the competition.

The Competitions for Junior Gold and Platinum are divided into two seasons:
Terms one, two & three of the school year comprise the Championship Season. All age groups participate in sign-on and trial days on the first two weekends of school term one (days and times to be advised for each club). This is followed by a three week grading competition, where players are able to move between teams to ensure they are balanced and competitive. The teams may also be moved between divisions to ensure they participate in a balanced competition. The Championship Season continues to the end of term three, where all teams will compete towards a final series, culminating in division finals and potential division champions.

Term four is the Summer Season where court time is a bit more relaxed. No Finals, no trophies, just a chance to keep active as we head into the summer holiday break.

Female players in the 7-17 years age groups should check the NGBL club website for further information about the February 2020 trials.  Players that miss trial day should contact the NGBL club registrar prior to registering. The club registrar will provide advice regarding team availability, training requirements, uniform requirements, registration process and start date. Players that wish to join after the February trials are advised to contact their Club Registrar to confirm team availability.

To enquire about joining a team contact the registrar via ngblregistrar@northsidewizards.net.au. For further information about the competition and clubs, contact the Wizards office on 0405 622 417 or 0405 722 433.
